(CMRL) has just today issued recruitment notification 2013 for a total of 719 vacancies for the positions of Station Controllers, Train Operators, JE & Technicians.As per the notification, while the online submission of form starts on 19th January, 2013, the last date to submit form for CMRL Recruitment 2013 is 16th February,2013. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation prepared the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for Phase – I of the Chennai Metro Rail Project. The phase-1 of the project is expected to be completed by 2014-2015 in which two corridors with a combined length of 45 Kms. (24 Km underground & 21 Km elevated) will be constructed. These two corridors are: Corridor I (Washermanpet to Saidapet on Anna Salai) and Corridor II (Chennai central to Thirumangalam).

Chennai Metro Rail offers salary in following pay-scales for the three categories of posts:Station Controller/ Train Operator/JE (Stations): Rs. 13500-25520.JE (Jr. Engineer): Rs. 13500-25520.Chennai Metro Rail (CMRL) Eligibility:
Following are the eligibility for CMRL recruitment 2013:Eligibility for CMRL Station Controller/ Train Operator/JE (Stations): Minimum 1st class (60 % marks) in 3-years Diploma or Equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical (EEE), Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) from a Govt. recognized Institute.Eligibility for CMRL JE (Jr. Engineer): Minimum 1st class (60 % marks) in 3-years Diploma or Equivalent in in relevant discipline (Mechanical, EEE, ECE & Civil) from a Govt. recognized Institute.Eligibility for CMRL Technician:

Chennai Metro Rail (CMRL) Selection Process:Selection process for Chennai Metro Rail Recruitment 2013 would consist of an Online test (40% General Aptitude and 60% Subject knowledge) followed by Tamil proficiency Test.
