From this year Students of Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal has tough time to Eligible for Joint Entrance Exam JEE Advanced . The Cutoff Marks for Other State Students is More when compared to Students from Other States. The State Board students along with CBSE and ICSE from the State are Disadvantage when compared to Students from other sate as the Cutoff marks for AP Students is high.
Students from Other Sates Such as Bihar, Haryana, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh as their Cutoff Marks is Less.
As Per the Official Sources Inter Board Students from Andhra Pradesh must Score 87.2% in Inter to get eligible in Top 20% list. Similarly the CBSE Students from Andhra Pradesh must Score 77.8% followed by Kerala with 76.5%, Punjab with70.8 %, Karnataka with 67.5%, Jammu & Kashmir with 67% and Rajasthan with 63% Meghalaya has the lowest cut-off marks of just 49.40 per cent.
Another notable feature is that the marks secured in 10+2 Board exams will get a weightage of 40 per cent in the new JEE (Mains), which replaced AIEEE this year.
Only the top 1,50,000 rankers in JEE (Main) will be eligible to appear for the JEE (Advanced) for admissions into the Indian Institute of Technology, (IITs), provided they also figure in the top-20 percentile list in their respective state-level 10+2 Board exams.
