3. For Post Code 01 to 04 :- The candidates must be above 18 years of age as on the 01.09.2012 but not more than the age of 35 years in case of General Category, 37 years
in case of E.B.C(B.C-I) & B.C(B.C-II) Category, 38 years in case of Female (General, E.B.C. & B.C.) and 40 years in case of S.C./S.T/PH Category.
For Post Code 05 :- The candidates must be above 25 years of age as on the 01.09.2012 but not more than the age of 35 years in case of General Category, 38 years
in case of E.B.C(B.C-I) & B.C(B.C-II). Category and 40 years in case of S.C./S.T/PH. Category.
4. Reservation policy of the State Government will apply and the benefit of same shall be given to the candidates belonging the State of Jharkhand only. The candidates of the

Applications are invited from the eligible Applicants for filling of vacancies of POSTAL ASSISTANTS/SORTING ASSISTANTS/POSTAL ASSISTANT RETURNED LETTER OFFICE/POSTAL ASSISTANT MAIL MOTOR SERVICE /POSTAL ASSISTANT SAVING BANK CONTROL ORGANISATION and POSTALASSISTANT (FOREIGN POST ORGANIZATION) OF VARIOUS DISTRICTS OF JHARKHANDScale of Pay : Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade pay of Rs. 2400 + admissible allowance.
Age Limit: 18-27 years : The Age limit is relaxable for Applicants belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Applicants up to 5 years and for Applicants belonging to Other Backward Classes up to 3 years and for Government servants up to the age of 40 years in accordance with the Instructions or orders issued by Government of India from time to time. Age relaxation for Ex-servicemen would be as per extent orders of government of India issued from time to time.Pattern of Examination: - The Applicants shall be subjected to an Aptitude Test with a total 100 marks covering the following subjects/topics. Aptitude Test (Paper-I) will be comprising following four parts (A/B/C/D). The total duration of the Aptitude Test will be 2 hrs (120 Minutes). There is no negative marking.
Part'A'
25 Questions on General Knowledge-Questions on current events, sports, history, geography, basic economics, general polity, Indian Constitution, science environment etc.-25 Marks.
Part'B'
25 Questions on Mathematics of matriculation standard which may cover number system, simplification, decimals, corrections, simple and compound interest, percentage, average, profit & loss, discount, menstruation, time & work and time & distance etc.-25 Marks.
Part'C
25 Questions on English covering grammar (prepositions, adverbs, conjunction, direct/indirect speech, singular & plural, tenses, antonyms/synonyms etc. - 25 Marks.
Part'D'
25 Questions on Reasoning and analytical Ability—25 Marks.
Computer/Typing Test (Paper-ll): The Typing Test shall be for a duration of 30 minutes (15 minutes each for Typewriting and data entry) consisting of one passage of 450 words in English or 375 words in Hindi to be typed with a minimum speed of 30/25 words per minutes respectively & Data entry of some figures and letters each carrying equal marks on Computers. The typing test and test of data entry operations will be conducted on Computer key board but not on type writer.Last date for receipt of Applications is 01-10-2012

JHARKHAND Public Service Commission (JPSC) Releases Result For 4th Civil Service Mains Examination
Saturday, September 29, 2012 webmaster JHARKHAND Public Service Commission (JPSC) has released the 4th Civil services mains examination result, the mains examination was concluded on June 15.
Examination controller of JPSC Sumant Kumar Sinha has said to the press that this is the first time when Commission has declared the result in the record three months time. The result was first pasted on the notice board of the JPSC office but Candidates were faced some problem because of delayed upload on the site. Total 659 candidates across the category against the 219 vacancy are decleared pass for the final leg the interview will begin from October 30. The result is available on the JPSC web Site:
