AIIMS has issued NEET-MDS 2013 Exam Notification just a few days back for admissions in various Postgraduate (MDS) courses in close to 177 Dental Colleges in India. As per the exam notification, last date to submit online form for NEET-MDS 2013 is 10th December, 2012 and the written exam would be held on 13th January, 2013.This blog post has been made to encapsulate the important information on Eligibility, Dates and Forms for NEET-MDS 2013 exam, by quoting the same from above notification in order to help you apply for the same as well as to preserve it for the aspirants of NEET-MDS 2014. 1.0 You must possess BDS degree from a recognised Dental College.2.0 Post BDS Final exam, you must have obtained registration from any of the State Dental Councils.3.0 Must have completed one year compulsory Internship in an approved/recognised Dental College.There are some exception clauses (specially with respect to Internship) as well as other special clauses of eligibility (e.g. for Institutions of Armed Forces Medical Services).You can go through the detailed eligibility for NEET-MDS 2013 in page 4-5 of the Notification.NEET-MDS 2013 Number of Seats & Colleges:Which are the colleges in which you can take admissions through NEET-MDS 2013 and how many seats are there? This information is going to be uploaded in AIIMS exam website near the exam. However, You can have an idea by going through the "Appendix-VI List of Recognised Dental Colleges" in page-28 of the Notification. Also, from Dental Council of India website, you can browse for number of MDS seats in the search box given in left bottom, as shown in the screenshot at right.NEET-MDS 2013 exam would be conducted in five city/towns as given below: Chennai, Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai & Guwahati.NEET-MDS 2013 exam consists of a single MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) paper which shall have 200 questions from the area of Basic Sciences, Para-Clinical and Clinical subjects. Each question is worth 4 mark. This 800 mark exam paper has to be answered in 3-hours (10.00 A.M. to 1.00 P.M).
