AICTE Blacklisted 9 Technical Colleges in Gujarat
Gujarat Students who are appearing for Admissions in Gujarat Engineering Colleges for the Academic year 2012 – -2013 are hereby informed that the All India Council for Technical Education AICTE has Blacklisted 9 Technical Colleges. These Blacklisted Technical colleges will not be allowed to participate in the Gujarat Engineering Colleges Admission Process 2013 – 2014.
AICTE has Taken this Decision because of Lack of Standards and Faculty in Several Technical Colleges. AICTE has carried a Sudden rides on Engineering Colleges and Back listed 350 Engineering Colleges because of Lack of Infra structure and Faculty.
Officials said that these nine colleges include two in Vadodara and one in Gandhinagar, Rajkot, Junagadh, Bhavnagar and Panchmahals each.

Supreme Court Ordered Gujarat Govt to conduct GUJCET till 2014
Supreme All the Students of Gujarat are hereby informed that the The Supreme Court has Ordered Gujarat State Government to Accept Application forms for Gujarat Common Entrance Test GUJCET 2014.
Students and their Parents has filed a PIL in the Court. the Court has issued Notices for Central Government, Gujarat Government, CBSE and Medical Council of India The parents of children studying in schools of the city have approached the apex court demanding cancellation of National level common entrance test for medical education in the country.
The parents had earlier approached Gujarat High Court stating that the common entrance test should have been announced two to three years in advance. MCI announced the test in February 2012 and the test is scheduled for May 5, 2013. The parents claimed that the students did not get enough time to prepare for the exam scheduled for May 2013. It has also been demanded that the students should be admitted on the basis of school board and GUJCET resuts

GSHSEB : JEE Main 2013 Mandatory for Gujarat State Engineering Admissions Students
All the Students of Gujarat who aspires for B.E / B.Tech Admissions through the GUJ CET 2013 are hereby informed that the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) board has officially announced that form next year on wards the B.E / B.Tech Engineering Admissions for Gujarat students will be based on JEE Main 2013 score.
Govt of Gujarat has Earlier announced that the GUJCET Exam will be Replaced with JEE. several students and Parents are demanding for introduction of JEE Main from 2014 as it very less time has been left for their wards to prepare for the new exams.
The admissions in State Engineering Colleges will be done on the basis of JEE Main 2013 Score and XII Class Score. JEE Main 2013 Score will be given 50% weightage and 50% weightage for Qualifying Exam. ACPC has published a notice Regarding JEE FAQs 2013
