Instructions for Students Answering WBJEE 2013 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)

WBJEE 2013 Multiple Choice Questions Instructions are made available for Students. Students who are appearing for WBJEE 2013 Entrance Test are hereby informed to  check the Instructions for Students Answering WBJEE 2013 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)

Category 1:
(a). Only one option is correct, correct response will yield one mark.
(b). For each incorrect response, 33.33% of mark (1/3) would be deducted and
(c). For more than one answer indicated against a particular question in the OMR sheet; the said answer will be treated as Incorrect response/answer. Marks will be deducted on the basis of rule enumerated in Clause (b) above.

Category 2:

All questions will have to be answered on specially designed machine readable answer sheets WBJEE 2013 OMR Answer Sheet. ANSWERS ARE TO BE MARKED (BUBBLED) USING BLUE/BLACK BALL POINT PEN ONLY ON THE WBJEE 2013 OMR Answer Sheet.  

N.B. It is to be noted carefully that the candidates must fill in as well as bubble in ALL the relevant information including the WBJEE 2013 Question Booklet No at the indicated places on both WBJEE 2013 OMR Answer Sheet and Attendance Sheet during examination.

Big Companies Hire students From New IITs

The New IITs (IIT Ropar, IIT Patna, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Bhubaneswar and IIT Gandhinagar) which were Established by MHRD in Public Private Partnership Mode has Successfully Completed their First Placements Secession and Entered second Placements Secession. In Order to get the More Pre Placements Offers NEW IITs Started their Placements Secession in the Month of September.

Several big Companies which include Google, Microsoft, Amazon Etc have  Registered and offered Average Salary increase up by 15 to 20% to New IITs.  Where are Old IITs Like IIT Madras, IIT Roorkee, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi and  IIT Guwahati has Recorded a 5 to 10% Increase in salaries.  

students of IIT Ropar have got salary offers between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 16 lakh while those at Gandhinagar are getting between Rs 9.5 lakh and Rs 9.9 lakh. The average salary offer at IIT Ropar was Rs 8.32 lakh last year.

Over the last two days, IIT Patna has seen 19 students of its 89-strong batch getting placement at an average package of Rs 11.3 lakh. Last year, average salary at the institute was Rs 7.1 lakh per annum, said Shashank Srivastava, student-in-charge, training & placement cell at IIT Patna. “US and Japan-based companies are coming to visit us for placements which is likely to push the current year’s average package even higher,” he said. So far, the institute has seen a top domestic salary of Rs 16 lakh offered by Microsoft to six students.

WBJEE 2013 Reforms : Separate papers for Chemistry & Physics – Exclusion of Negative marked students from Merit list

West Bengal state joint entrance examination board has decided to make few changes for the WBJEE 2013, they are planning to conduct the test with physics and chemistry as separate papers and also to exclude the candidates who got negative marks from the merit list. Other than this, the board has increased the weightage given to the physics and chemistry subjects to reduce the imbalance with third subject Maths. Previously the students have to answer 2 papers in WBJEE – mathematics, carrying 100 marks and another paper contains questions from both physics and chemistry which carries 50 marks each.

Now as per the reforms if it is  going to happen, the students may have to appear for  3 papers. This time Physics and chemistry are going to be separate papers which carries 75 marks each and the mathematics paper will carry 100 marks. The JEE board chairman Bhaskar Gupta said that they have finalized these changes in the meeting and this may take some time. He also quoted that the JEE Authorities have also decided not to follow the practice of awarding ranks to the students appearing the exam. GSHSEB : JEE Main 2013 Mandatory for Gujarat State Engineering Admissions Students

All the Students of Gujarat who aspires for B.E / B.Tech Admissions  through the GUJ CET 2013 are hereby informed that the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) board has officially announced that form next year on wards the B.E / B.Tech Engineering Admissions for Gujarat students will be based on JEE Main 2013 score.

RTUs New Decision : Students can change their Institute & Branch in Mid Term

Here is a Good News for Engineering Students who are Studying in Engineering Colleges affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University. As Per the New Decision Made by the Rajathan Technical University Engineering Students who find Difficulty in a Courses will be allowed to change their Selected Engineering Branch.

RTU has facilated Students to change change their College if the College has Less Number of Students and Institutes with More Vacant Seats.

A Per the Newly Approved System From this year on ward Internal Sliding system will be Introduced in the Colleges. As per the new norm, the engineering students, after the completion of first year, can change their branch of study if they find it too difficult to pursue or if they feel that their college has failed to provide them with required faculty and technical facilities for their current course.

All the Students who aspires for Admissions to Vacant Seats in Various Engineering Colleges under KCET 2012 are hereby informed that the Karnataka Examination Authority KEA has Published the Important Instructions for Supplementary candidates for Option entry.

You can login to access your account with your Unique Secret Keyword. Read the User Hand Book Instructions Manual and follow all the instructions given there in. For additional information refer KEA website for Allotment Logic method of  Roaster System adopted for Non-Interactive Online Seat Allotment – CET- 2012. Do NOT DISCLOSE the Keyword printed on the Verification Slip and the Password given by you (i.e., candidate) to others. Before entering the Options Online, please check the website for seat matrix which is made available on the KEA website http://kea.kar.nic.in which shows the seats College wise, Course wise and Category wise seats available. Download and print the Option Work Sheet / Detailed Option Work Sheet from KEA website for home work before you enter the Options Online. Discuss with your parents, family and friends. Finalise your priority of  Discipline / College / Course Options, write it down. Be prepared to enter the options online. Enter as many numbers of options as you want to exercise, there is no upper limit for entry of options and a candidate can cross even 1000 options or one can enter all colleges and courses in all discipline in which she / he has got ranks in the order of priority. The schedule for option entry will not be extended for any reasons, therefore all the eligible candidates are advised not to wait till the last minute and date but should key in their options well within the last date and time specified. Campus Recruitment Process for Selecting Students

Usually every company will follow their own selection process but When coming to the Campus placement point of view almost every company will follow the process mentioned below. As this will be easy for them to eliminate the students who doesn’t meet their expectations and at the same time the potential student will get an opportunity for the advancement in the process.  So here are the steps in the Campus Recruitment Process :

Pre – Placement talk :

This is also called as Corporate Presentation. In this phase the recruiters will provide the information regarding their company, selection process,  growth in their company,CTC, Future rolls for their employees, service bond etc, The Human Resource head of the company will explain regarding the issues quoted above.  If the students have any doubts regarding the issues that they have explained can ask their query  and the HR Head and his team will clarify your doubts.

Written Exam :

They may conduct either Online or Offline Exam. It depends on systems available and the students came to attend the written exam. However the exam majorly consist of  Aptitude skill test (Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning),  Computer Knowledge test, Core Subject knowledge test and finally English test.

Group Discussion :

The students who are qualified in the written exam are eligible for this round. In this round  the HR team will give a topic for the group of students and ask them to discuss regarding the topic. They will try to trace the team spirit, Reasoning ability, Leadership qualities, Flexibility, Initiation, Assertiveness  Awareness,  Communication skill are tested.

Interview with Technical experts:

The students who have cleared the Group discussion will be eligible for the Technical Experts interview. After this there will be an Interview on the Core subjects with the Technical Experts.

Final Interview with HRs :

This is the the final Interview in the Selection Process. The HR Experts will check the Positive attitude , Communication Skills, Target Setting  & Reaching the Target by the Student and General Awareness.
