The sailor post successful completion of initial training at INS Chilka and sea training will undergo four years in technical training establishments of the Navy. On successful completion candidates will have qualification equivalent to Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering which is recognised by the Govt of India for purposes of employment in Central /State Govt.The period of initial engagement for Artificer Apprentice Sailor is 20 years.
